Notice of change in Ugandan Regulation for imported used vehicle.
Dear Esteemed Customers,
Thank you for using tradecarview.
This is to inform you that a new import regulation has been announced by the Uganda National Bureau of Standard(UNBS).
All used motor vehicles shipped on and after the June 1st, 2018 will be inspected in Uganda by UNBS inspectors. Accordingly, East Africa Automobile (EAA) and Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Centre (JEVIC), which had been appointed by UNBS to conduct a pre-ship inspection in Japan and Singapore, will not be accepted as effective inspections for import to Uganda. But UNBS will still recognize valid Certificates of Roadworthiness issued by EAA or JEVIC before June 1st, 2018.
Regarding Public notice by UNBS, please refer to the following URL.
